I stand my own executioner
Severe and angry
Lost in deep black forest

The taste of bitter misery
Has grown too strong to swallow
No way out but where the dead horsemen follow

My shackled arms are freezing
My flogged back breaks a hump
The judge told me that this was going to happen

The footmen want their pay
And daylight’s gone away
They won’t even obey their own captain

the horses are dreaming-- winning
their manes are streaming-- hooves are a-spinning
their eyes are gleaming – grinning
I can’t escape
The horsemen are hidden
To flee is forbidden
On high they are sitting
I can’t escape

I stand and I hide from my own bride

To a forlorn cross I’m nailed

And human flesh seems good

Can anyone mark this land, no map is in my hand, I’m gone where the dead horsemen follow, can some one wake me up, hand me that tin cup, I’m cast to where the starving wild boars wallow…. I just can’t reach the cup, oh please god wake me up.
