lyrics

Life can be weaned off barbarian dreams
For Barbarian dreams lead to death
The forge chimes and rings with ominous things
The blacksmith has frost on his breath
Their armor a patchwork of leather and iron
They're honing their spears for the hunt
Their purpose is grim and their powers are dire
The war will be cold dark and blunt

With helmets of grim and thick coats of fur
They raise up a noise in the night
They know that next day will see some there slain
With dawn comes the blood spilling fight
Their snarling and grunting with hunger and lust
The fires where bronze bucklers gleam
With mead and with Ale some may live to tell tales
But they all dream barbarian dreams

We feast tonight for tomorrow we die
let us be in our cups and dream of a better life
